Digital public servant Amanda Renteria, WHS Class of 1992, has seen that the millions of people who rely on government welfare services are often discouraged from seeking them out, frustrated by long lines and unnecessarily complicated processes. At Code for America, Renteria is helping develop human-centered technology that "respects you from the start, meets you where you are and provides an easy, positive experience."

WHS Awarded Diversity Award
Woodlake High School earned the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award last month! Schools honored with the award have expanded girls’ access in AP computer science courses by achieving 50% or higher female enrollment in the course OR by a percentage of the female computer science exam takers meeting or exceeding that of the school’s female population.

Alumna Edith Guijon has been named a recipient of the FFA American Degree for 2021. The American FFA Degree is awarded at the National FFA Convention & Expo each year to less than one percent of FFA members, making it one of the organization's highest honors.
